Overview
Create, save, and export videos with the Indream API.
Use the Indream API to build videos from editor state, keep editable projects, upload media, and export MP4 or WebM files. Requests run on your server with an API key for your workspace.
Start with an export
The Quick Start creates a five-second video from a complete sample. It covers validation, submission, and downloading the result.
For a one-time render, submit editor state to POST /v1/exports. For a draft you will edit or export again, create a project and export its saved state.
Choose your integration
| Integration | Use it for |
|---|---|
| JavaScript SDK | Typed requests, uploads, export polling, and webhook verification in JavaScript or TypeScript. |
| Python SDK | Synchronous or asynchronous video workflows in Python. |
| HTTP API | Calls from any server that can send HTTP requests. |
| OpenClaw plugin | Creating and exporting videos through an agent in OpenClaw. |
Build a workflow
- Editor state defines the canvas, timeline, media references, text, and visual properties.
- Projects save state so you can continue editing and create multiple exports.
- Assets covers uploading files and using them in a project.
- Exports explains output settings, progress, cancellation, and downloads.
- Webhooks delivers export events to your server.
Before you send requests
Read Authentication to set up your API key. Export costs and available output settings depend on your workspace; see Billing and limits. Use Errors and retries to handle validation failures, rate limits, and exhausted usage limits.
